Samsung Galaxy Note 9 buyers complain issue

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 buyers complain of ‘light leak’ issue,

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is one of the most sophisticated phablets to be launched recently. However, some buyers are complaining of an issue with the new smartphone’s display. According to forum posts on Android Central, some users have complained that there ‘light leak’ on the side of the

"Well this isn’t what I wanted to find. Just got the phone today and got it all set up and put in a case and suddenly noticed light all along an edge of the device coming out from under where the glass of the screen meets the metal frame! That’s not right I am sure. Anyone else see this?" commented an user.

Interestingly, some users have pointed out that as the Galaxy Note 9 has display curved on the edges, it could be possible to find minor refractions when the phone is tilted on certain angles. Also, the issue could be due to the painting process and the curved display makes the "light leak" more "pronounced" in some units, pointed another user. This is not the first time that Samsung is using curved glasses on the edge in a smartphone and the earlier Galaxy Note 8 phone also had a similar display. Samsung hasn't officially responded to this so-called issue raised by some users.

Samsung had launched two variants of the Galaxy Note 9 in India -- 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at Rs 67,900 and the 8GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at Rs 84,900. The phablet comes with a metal frame design and massive 4000mAh battery with wireless fast charging support. This is the first Galaxy Note device to come with such a huge battery.

The Indian variant of Galaxy Note 9 runs on Samsung’s own flagship processor Exynos 9810. It’s the same processor that powers the company’s 2018 Galaxy flagship smartphones -- Galaxy S9 and S9+.
